The heater (1) has multiple plates (2), where each plate has a horizontal longitudinal duct (5) for housing electric heating unit (4) such as electrical resistor. The heating unit extends longitudinally in the duct and heats liquid. The duct is in fluid communication with a longitudinal collector (8) of each plate. The duct is aligned with the collector and partially covers the collector. An independent claim is also included for a method of fabricating a heater.
