The device has a beacon including a clamping collar (105) that allows maintenance of an elastomeric support (110) on body of a sprinkler (100). The support and the body have lateral surfaces with annular serrations. The device is supported by the sprinkler. The support defines, with glass, a sealed inner space around the sprinkler. The space contains LEDs, reflector, a communication unit and a lighting control unit. An independent claim is also included for a lighting method.
