WIDENED PART STRUCTURE AND WIDENED PART CONSTRUCTION METHOD FOR SHIELD TUNNEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve widened part lining ensuring a space for widened cross section to circular segments, allowing the whole construction from the inside of a pit and requiring minimum cut-off work.;SOLUTION: A widened part structure of a shield tunnel comprises the circular segments 11 lined while boring by a shield machine; approximately rectangular segments 14 for the widened part lined on the outside of the circular segments 11; and approximately U-shaped segments 17 inserted in openings 11a, 14a passing through adjacent parts to the approximately rectangular segments 14 from the inside of the circular segments 11, and projected into the approximately rectangular segments 14. The widened part structure comprises fixing metal fittings 18 for connecting the approximately rectangular segments 14 and approximately U-shaped segments 17 at the peripheral parts of the openings 11a, 14a, and bolts and nuts 21, 22 fixed to the peripheral parts of the openings 11a, 14a toward the circular segments 11.
