The study on the mechanism ofthe super-diameter shield tunnel with 60 m burieddepth is carried out. With the background of SouthHongmei Rd. Tunnel project, it is the first time tocapture the soil pressure data of the tunnel structureunder the depth condition and to find out the loaddistribution law of ultra depth shield tunnel throughthe in-situ measurement method. By presentingthe new internal force calculation model of tunnelstructure, the structural design theory of ultra-deepburied shield tunnel is improved. Because of thenew method in this project, the amount of segmentcontaining steel is obviously reduced with creatinggreat economic benefits, which may provide newmethod & basis for the design of similar tunnelengineering in soft soil area.
