PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die apparatus for compacting powder, which can shorten the forming cycle, and can smoothly compress material powder by a forming die body and a punch.;SOLUTION: Material powder M is supplied into a forming portion 6 formed in the die 2. The powder compact 101 is formed by compressing the material powder M by inserting a lower punch 4 into the forming portion 6. A cooling fluid passage 14 is provided to cool the forming portion 6. Defects caused by the thermal expansion of the forming section 6 due to the temperature rise is eliminated by cooling the forming portion 6 by means of the cooling fluid passage 14 provided so as to have a helicoidal shape.
