PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chocolate-like material excellent in brilliance, transparency and palate feeling, hardly causing sticking to a mold, breaking and holing during a production process and suitable for mass production, to provide shell chocolate-like confectionery using the material, and to provide a method for producing the shell chocolate-like confectionery. PSOLUTION: This chocolate-like material has oil and fat and sugar as the main ingredients, and solid excluding oil and fat at 50 wt.% of the total quantity of the material. The shell chocolate-like confectionery is obtained by molding the chocolate-like material into a shell shape of 0.5-2.0 mm thickness and stuffing filling in the center of the shell-like chocolate-like material. The method for producing the chocolate-like material excellent in transparency and palate feeling and the shell chocolate-like confectionery using the material and suitable for mass production is also provided.
