PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a comparator circuit capable of performing reduction of a standby consumption current, increase of a drive current, and reduction of effect caused by an optical leakage current.;SOLUTION: The comparator circuit comprises a current buffer circuit 12 for outputting a standby current to be output from a comparator unit 11 after being amplified by predetermined times in a normal mode. The consumption current can be lowered by making a standby current to be sufficiently small value in a standby mode, while the standby current is to be output after being amplified by predetermined times in the normal mode. As a result, drive capacity can be made to be not so deteriorated even the standby current is small.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
