PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic ship position holding and controlling method and an automatic ship position holding and controlling device capable of lessening largely the positional deviation and azimuth deviation, compared with an automatic ship position holding control of conventional type, by carrying out feedforward control by presuming at least one of the wave drifting force and the wave drifting moment acting on a hull and performing a feedforward control to compensate at least one of the wave drifting force and the wave drifting moment.;SOLUTION: The automatic ship position holding and controlling method for holding the hull position of a hull on the ocean and the bow azimuth is configured so that the wave incident on the hull is presumed from the motions of the hull and at least one of the wave drifting force and the wave drifting moment is calculated from the presumed wave, and performs the ship position holding control including a control to conduct a feedforward control to at least one of the wave drifting force and the wave drifting moment which is calculated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
