METHOD FOR CULTIVATING PADDY RICE UTILIZING CHAFF-CARBONIZED PRODUCT, AND RICE PRODUCED BY THE METHOD

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cultivating paddy rice by which the amount of used agrochemicals is reduced than that by a conventional method without using excessive labor and cost and without reducing yield per unit area. PSOLUTION: A chaff-carbonized product 10 is distributed in a paddy field after being flooded so as to be precipitated on the surface soil 30 of the paddy field. The chaff-carbonized product 10 is obtained by heat-treating a solidified product obtained by compression molding of the chaff, and pulverizing or granulating the solidified product. The floating time of the chaff-carbonized product 10 in the water on the field is regulated by selecting the particle diameters of the chaff-carbonized product 10 and/or the water content of the chaff-carbonized product 10. The amount of the chaff-carbonized product to be distributed in the paddy field is changed according to the specific surface area of the chaff-carbonized product. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
