MULTI-LAYERED CYLINDRICAL GREEN COMPACT FORMING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-layered cylindrical green compact forming method capable of forming a thinner multi-layered cylindrical green compact by a thin cylindrical member which is hardly formed in a conventional method.;SOLUTION: By using a forming device having inner upper and lower punches and outer upper and lower punches, a powder is filled in a cylindrical outer cavity 5a, the filled powder is compressed by an outer upper punch 3a, a second cavity 5b of the predetermined volume is formed, and a second powder is filled therein, which contains a powder binder, a granulating agent, or a powder lubricant such as wax, paraffin, and resin. The second cavity 5b filled with the second powder is moved below a die 1, and the second powder is compressed by reducing the distance between facing sides of the upper punch and a thick cylindrical member 6. A cylindrical inner cavity 5c is formed by setting the elevated quantity of the inner lower punch 2b to be smaller than that of the outer lower punch 2a, and a green compact of the second powder is advanced therein. A green compact with the thick cylindrical member 6 and a thin cylindrical member 9a with each other can be obtained by this procedure.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
