PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition for inkjet recording that will not change physical properties such as viscosity and the like and exhibits excellent reliability with stable inkjet ejection characteristics when left to stand for a long period of time even in the case where the ink has a high solid content and to provide a pigment dispersed liquid useful for the ink composition.;SOLUTION: The pigment dispersed liquid prepared by subjecting an aqueous pigment dispersion containing a self-dispersing pigment but not containing a dispersing resin to heat treatment is provided.
