PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent composition for charge transport membrane capable of obtaining an organic electroluminescent device having high heat resistance and high positive hole injection and transport ability and drivable at low voltage.;SOLUTION: The composition comprises at least an ionic compound of the general formula(1) or the like and a charge-transporting compound. In the general formula(1), R11 is an organic group bound via a carbon atom to A1; R12 is any group; R11 and R12 may be bound to each other to form a ring; A1 is an element of the 3rd period or thereafter belonging to group 17 in the long-period-type periodic table; Z1n1- is a counteranion; and n1 is the valence of the counteranion.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
