PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain an accurate maintenance operation by grasping components exchanged due to any failure. PSOLUTION: This failure diagnosing circuit 20 is provided with: a component information comparator circuit 21 for automatically sampling component identification information owned by respective components 10a to 10n of a computer unit 10, for comparing the component information with component information when the computer unit 10 has been started last time, for detecting the presence/no presence of a difference of the configuring components, and for generating and recording component replacement history information; and a suspicion indicating circuit 22 for sampling failure log information when the failure of the computer device 10 is caused, for specifying suspicious components to be logically derived from the failure log information, and for generating suspicious component information. When detecting the difference of the configuring components, the component information comparator circuit 21 refers to the past failure occurrence information, and when a failure occurrence record is present in a predetermined failure confirmation time from the detection time of the difference, the component information comparator circuit 21 sets a predetermined failure corresponding flag in the configuring components relating to the difference, and records it in the exchange history information, and outputs the exchange history information with the suspicious component information generated by the suspicion pointing circuit 22 to a maintenance terminal 30.
