PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single CCD color camera outputting video of reduced noise not only in a chrominance signal but also in a luminance signal when gain-up is caused with low illuminance.;SOLUTION: A signal imaged by a solid-state imaging device 102 is gained up by a signal processing circuit 107. A magnitude of gain-up is detected by a gain reading means 105. The signal processing circuit 107 outputs a video signal of a predetermined format. The signal processing circuit 107 performs signal processing without adding pixels in a horizontal direction when the magnitude of gain-up detected by the detection means is lower than a predetermined level, but performs signal processing of adding pixels in the horizontal direction when the magnitude is equal to or higher than the predetermined level.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
