PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a label applying position in regard to a workpiece being transported to be carried out while a highly precise position setting is being attained without decreasing a working efficiency at a label applying step and further to realize it as a relative simple configuration under a low cost.;SOLUTION: This is a method for applying a label to a workpiece W while being transported through using a label applying device 2 provided with a peeling-off plate 7 for use in peeling off a label 5 from a peeling-off sheet 51. This method is carried out by a first step for temporarily stopping the transferring of the workpiece, a second step for pushing the end part of the label against the workpiece when the workpiece is stopped and for applying only the end part to the workpiece and a third step for applying the entire label to the workpiece while the workpiece is being transported after the second step.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
