PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for producing dry ice pellets, by which the dry ice pellets having a higher density can more efficiently be produced, and to provide a device for producing the dry ice pellets. SOLUTION: This method for producing dry ice pellets (71) from massive dry ice (70), characterized by receiving the massive dry ice (70) in a casing (2) and then pressing the massive dry ice (70) with a press plate (41) to extrude the massive dry ice (70) from a nozzle (30) into the chalk-like products. The device for producing the dry ice pellets, characterized by comprising a casing (2) for receiving massive dry ice (70), a cylinder device (4) for pressing the massive dry ice (70), and an extrusion die (3) provided with many nozzles (30).
