PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform efficient linear amplification by suppressing spurious response generated due to a frequency component of a triangular wave clock signal when performing amplitude amplification of a high-frequency signal by PWM control.;SOLUTION: A polar modulator 2 separates the high-frequency signal into an amplitude signal and an RF phase modulation signal. The amplitude signal is inputted into an amplitude amplifier 3a and an amplitude amplifier 3b, and the RF phase modulation signal is inputted into a two-composite amplifier 4. A PWM control unit 5a generates a pulse signal on the basis of the amplitude signal and the triangular wave clock, and a pulse amplifier unit 6a amplifies the pulse signal and supplies the amplified pulses signal to the power source terminal of a high-frequency amplifier 8a. A PWM control unit 5b generates a pulse signal on the basis of the amplitude signal, and a triangular wave clock having a phase reverse to that of the PWM control unit 5a. A pulse amplifier unit 6b amplifies the pulse signal and supplies the amplified pulse signal to a power source terminal of a high-frequency amplifier 8b. The high-frequency amplifiers 8a, 8b individually amplify the RF phase modulation signal, and then, composite the signal to output a modulation amplification signal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
