WIPER CONTROLLER AND WIPER CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper controller preventing a wiper from making motion which is not intended by a driver.;SOLUTION: The wiper controller 40 is provided with a CPU 42 detecting the on-off conditions of switches 11 to 18 possessed by a combination switch 10 operated by an operation lever arranged near a driver's seat through input I/F circuits 41a to 41h, controlling turning-on/off of driving of a wiper motor 60 on the basis of detection result and executing control of switching to a continuous mode, an intermittent mode and a mist mode by using an input I/F circuit 43 connected to an auto-stop switch 51, a wiper HI driving circuit 44, and a wiper LO driving circuit 45. Furthermore, the wiper control device is provided with a first timer function 42a counting the time of elapse until the operation lever is switched from an operation position for a mode other than the mist mode to the position for the mist mode. While the time of elapse is within a predetermined first time value, the wiper motor 50 is controlled by the CPU 42 to inhibit the wiping motion in the mist mode.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
