SILICIC ACID-NBR COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new silicic acid-NBR compposite material made by using NBR which is not modified for a pyridinium salt to be introduced, and to provide its manufacturing method.;SOLUTION: The silicic acid-NBR composite material is obtained by mixing acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber latex and water glass, followed by dropping the latex in an acid and solidifying the rubber. The silicic acid-NBR composite material has a silicic acid dispersed uniformly in NBR in an extremely fine state, thereby showing great mechanical strength and high damping performance in a vulcanized state.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
