PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer patterns on the surface of a base material simply by separating a release sheet of a pattern transfer sheet at the side formed with a pattern layer. laminating a heat adhesive resin layer exposed by separation on the base material surface, and separating the residual release sheet after heat compression. SOLUTION: The surface of a heat adhesive resin layer 2 of a transfer sheet is formed with a pattern layer 3 by the use of crayon or acrylic paint, and the transfer sheet is laminated with one more transfer sheet in a manner of heat adhesive resin layers 2, 2' opposed with each other, then to be heat compressed for permitting two sheets to be adhered integrally. Furthermore, after cooling it, the release sheet 1 at the side formed with a pattern layer 3 is subjected to separation. The heat adhesive resin layer 2 exposed by separation is laminated on the surface of the base material 4 to subsequently be heat compressed, and the residual release sheet 1' is separated therefrom. Thus, the pattern layer 3 can be observed on the surface of the base material 4 in the same condition as being depicted.
