Method for reducing carbon dioxide emission at cement production by calcination of cement raw mixture with modified granular composition to more advantageous particle distribution with reduced or zero content of the fraction 90 - 500 um or fraction 45 - 500 um of the whole granulometric spectrum of the raw mixture. It is possible to treat the cement raw mixture with modified granulometric composition by chemical way. At the chemical treatment of the raw mixture, the amount of CaO is reduced, whereby the ratio C3S/C2S of calcium silicate phases is reduced, and amount of alit C3S is reduced to the prejudice of belit C2S growth, where the clinker contains from 15 to 85 % by weight of alit C3S and from 0.01 to 85 % by weight of belit C2S and the stage of calcination is controlled to the residual content 0.01 to 3.00 % by weight of free CaO in the clinker. At calcination of the modified raw mixture, the time for reaction of clinker formation is shortened and specific energy consumption is reduced. The output of cement kiln and the hydraulic activity of clinker phases are increased, the porousness of clinker structure is increased, crumbling ability of clinker is enhanced, the consumption of electric energy at cement grinding is diminished, whereby the emission of CO2 in the extend from 0.01 to 40 % is achieved.
