The proposed method for predicting the relapse of chronic recurrent aphthous stomatitis implies the cytological analysis of the samples of the substance that is removed form the difficult-accessible area of the mucous membrane of the oral cavity and determining the differentiation index of the epithelium cells. The relapse of the stomatitis is predicted if the said index reduces by 10 % or more.
