METHOD FOR PREVENTING COMPLICATIONS OF WOUND HEALING AFTER HERNIOPLASTY PERFORMED DUE TO GIGANTIC POSTOPERATIVE ABDOMINAL HERNIA

The method for preventing the complications of wound healing after hernioplasty performed due to gigantic postoperative abdominal hernia comprises intravenous injection of antibacterial drug, 30 minutes before the surgery, antibacterial therapy for 5-7 days postoperatively, the washing of the wound by antiseptic solution intraoperatively, and the drainage of the wound. The vacuum drainage of the wound is performed using UNOVAC aspiration system. The length of the draining tube is chosen according to the length of the wound. The aspiration system is installed until the cessation of the discharge from the wound under the treatment. The active draining mode is maximally used.
