The method of open-pit development of steeply-dipping mineral beds includes sequential working-out of horizons of the pit with formation of opening and extraction terraces in direction of propagation of the front of mining works, with deepening the pit, with filling opening rocks to external dumps, with formation of inner damp in the worked-out space of the pit with sequential placement of opening rocks, transportation of mineral at one of the sides of the pit and change of direction of propagation of the front of mining works at coming to designed pit boundary. At formation of the inner damp of first turn one implements unloading of opening rock in the zone of non-working terraces, total height of those corresponds to total design height of the inner damp.
