Provided herein are novel nucleic acid and amino acids sequences of aphosphoprotein derived from a Guinea pig. Methods and compositions formodulating the phosphorylation of the novel protein in a dopaminergicsignaling pathway are also provided. Compounds identified by the disclosedmethods may be used to treat disorders characterized by a aberrant ordysfunctional intracellular signaling pathway regulated by DARPP-32.
