The invention concerns a piece of jewellery (1) comprising a tubular lattice design (2) wherein can be fitted at least one spherical decorative element (3) such as a pearl. The lattice design (2) consists of a mesh (4) produced by several strands (5). The thickness and the specific arrangement of said strands (5) provide the lattice design (2) with a sufficient flexibility to adapt and perfectly match the contour of the decorative element(s) (3) and to shrink on either side of each decorative element (3) providing the lattice design (2) with an aesthetic aspect resembling a solid chain.
