METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING SS7 MESSAGES, NETWORK SYSTEM AND NETWORK ELEMENT

The invention concerns a method for transmitting SS7 messages, a network system and a network element designed for telecommunication networks enabling the addition of network elements to a SS7 telecommunication network to be simplified. The invention concerns in particular a method for processing SS7 messages in a SS7 network. The SS7 network comprises a first transmission element (106A) and at least a second transmission element (106B) the signalling point code of which is the same. Beams of useful channels (130, 132) designed to be connected to adjacent network elements (102, 104) are connected to part (130A, 130B) of the first transmission element (106A) and to another part (130B, 132B) of the second transmission element (106B). The following method is implemented in at least one of the transmission elements (106A, 106B): receiving a SS7 message controlling the useful channel; determining the useful channel controlled by the SS7 message; detecting the connection between the useful channel and the receiver transmission element; and implementing the operation of the useful channel if the controlled useful channel is connected to the receiver transmission element; or suppressing the received SS7 message if the latter has been received by the other transmission element (106A, 106B) and all the transmission elements (106A, 106B) have been run through by said message; otherwise, rerouting the received SS7 message to another transmission element (106A, 106B).
