DLP TV and method for enhancement of picture quality

PURPOSE: A DLP(Digital Light Processing) TV and a method for improving image quality thereof are provided to solve blue ringing phenomenon by decelerating a rotation speed of a color wheel, controlling the color wheel and increasing a spot size of the color wheel twice. CONSTITUTION: A sensing unit(112) mounted on a motor(123) senses the rotation characteristic of a color wheel(111). A microcomputer(128) varies a rotation speed of the color wheel according to the rotation characteristic of the color wheel sensed in the sensing unit. A motor driving unit(116) outputs a driving signal to the motor according to a control signal of the microcomputer. A PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) generating unit(115) generates a PWM signal according to a control signal of the microcomputer, and provides the generated PWM signal to the motor driving unit.
