The controller (1) has electrical mechanisms that output information signals indicating the speed threshold value to a connection (3) to control a kilometer display (4) on an instrument panel (2) of a motor vehicle. The controller is connected to a navigation equipment (11) that supplies maximum speed values, and to a speed governor (6) having a manual input device (9). Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a navigation equipment; and (B) a speed control system.
