The piston has a cooling chamber (18) bordered by a head (20) and provided within an area underneath a piston crest between piston bosses. The chamber includes an oil inlet (24) that bridges to a certain extent in the piston, and a bump (22), where the oil inlet is surrounded by a flange (26) extended upto the level of the bump. The head has an oil outlet, which is located above the lower area of the head.
