In a method for gasifying liquid (A) in a tank (1) involves transfering (A) from the tank into a gasifying chamber (2), gasifying (A) by uptake of air or other oxygen-containing gas and recycling (A) to the tank, (A) is supplied to the gasifying chamber via an outlet (7) in the lower part of the tank wall below the level of (A) and/or via an overflow (8) at the top of the tank wall. An independent claim is also included for corresponding apparatus, comprising at least one tank (1) for (A) and at least one separate gasifying chamber (2), having at least one outlet (7) in the lower part of the tank wall and/or overflow (8) at the top of the tank wall leading to the gasification chamber.
