The pump lance (11) may be inserted vertically into a container or drum (1) through a bunghole in the center of the flat lid. A pump mechanism at the bottom end of the lance is driven by a rotor shaft connected to a pump head (25) at the top of the shaft. A hose (35) is connected to a fitting (33) on the pump head and may be connected to a filler nozzle (34) introducing e.g. urea for exhaust gas purification in utility vehicles using SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) or AdBlue (RTM) technology.
