Bathing cap with head protection element for backwards swimming in rubber, flexible and stretchable synthetic plastic or waterproof and water repellent textile made from synthetic materials. A pocket is integrated into the inner side of the cap in the region behind the head. This is filled with a light material, e.g. porous styrene flocks or foam. The cap is held in place by an elastic band.
