The unit for the separating of frozen piece goods has the transporting speeds adjusted to the piece goods by means of controllable and/or governable buffer units for the purpose of effecting an unhindered transporting flow of the piece goods. The separating unit is rotatably designed, and guiding devices (10) and diverters are provided on the surface of the separating unit which by using gravity and centrifugal forces effects separation of the piece goods.
