The device has standing flange (24,25) for components (9,10) and welding element (1) with mounting arranged in housing (2) which has metal sheets between two welding electrodes (17,18) for welding. Conduction, which is necessary for welding, occurs from current flow to electrical resistance of welding electrode to welding zone (19) in two sheet metals or by heating of welding element. For two sheet metals under the simultaneous effect of welding electrode and welding element of sheet metals, contact pressure occurs to make contact with one another. Two sheet metals which can be welded along the longitudinal axis (7) of welding element which is built in form of welded fastening glider. Inlet zone (14) and discharge zone (15) are arranged between the housing of welding element. Heating zone (16) of welding zone is interspersed with cooling channels (27) of cooling system. Duct (20) is provided for the welding of two sheet metals and inlet zone, heating zone and discharge zone is in the direction of longitudinal axis of welding element in housing. Spacer (21) is provided in the housing and it is extended inside to inlet zone from the outside of housing along the longitudinal axis of welding element. Heating zone has wedge shape form and it is tapered in outward direction. Spacer in inlet zone together with entry channels (22,23) separates both of two sheet metals in such a way that angle (alpha 1) or (alpha 2) to the longitudinal axis of welding element is aligned and a contact point (26) adjacent to the heating zone in spacer is inside the inlet zone and spacer after the heating zone of welding electrode is used to apply the contact pressure and change the welding zone. A discharge zone is formed for the cooling of weld by cooling station.
