A telephone, especially a mobile phone has a housing accommodating the functional elements of the phone , and on whose front face (2.1) is an earphone or loudspeaker or at least one microphone and the corresponding audio openings. At least part of the functional keys are provided on two opposite-facing peripheral sides (2.3, 2.4) of the housing (2).
