Self-aligning cutter hub (46) for underwater pelletiser is connected to a drive shaft (42) so as to enable cutter blades (48) on it to be aligned with and move in parallel to a die face (26) on an extrusion die plate. It has a centrally located axial bore (58) with a partially spherical inner surface (60) in which an annular adapter (62) with a partially spherical outer surface (66) is received, the spherical surfaces being closely related and matching each other. Each of the surfaces includes at least one recess (72,68) receiving a torque transmitting element (70) which is also partially received in the recess in the other to provide a driving connection between hub and adapter and enable pivotal movement of the hub relative to the adapter as a result of relative angular movement between them. The adapter is secured to the drive shaft (42) for transmitting torque to the cutter hub.
