PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stabilizer for using in a substantially non-photosensitive thermographic recording material suitable for use without exerting a bad influence upon an image color tone in a high throughput thermographic printer. PSOLUTION: This stabilizer is a substantially photosensitive black and white monochrome sheet thermographic recording material consisting of a support and thermosensitive elements, which includes a substantially non-photosensitive organic silver salt, an organic reducing agent for the silver salt put under a thermal action relationship therewith, a binder and at least one kind of 2-mercapto-benzothiazole compound.
