Ink (A) for continuous diverted ink-jet printing, liquid at ambient temperature, comprises a binder (I); at least one dye and/or pigment (II) and a solvent (III), where (III) comprises over 70 wt.%, on total composition, of propyl carbonate (IIIa) and less than 10 % water, especially no water. An independent claim is also included for a substrate having a marking produced by drying (A).
