The rigging has vertical posts (1, 1`) respectively inclined along a concurrent axis forming a preset angle between 20[deg] and 50[deg]. A sheet (10) is connected to ends of booms (6, 6`) of main sails passing through fixed points (12, 12`). The sheet permits the booms to simultaneously haul in or slack through a sheet (11) sliding on the sheet (10), while permitting the booms to be in an optimum position with respect to the wind. An independent claim is also included for a rigged terrestrial vehicle.
