PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorant composed of reduction firing hydrogenation metals for generating negative ions by contact with water so as to obtain an excellent deodorizing effect, and to provide its manufacturing method, accessories with an odor removing/deodorizing action, and a simple method for producing alkali ion water. PSOLUTION: The deodorant composed of the reduction firing hydrogenation metals is obtained by selecting one or not less than two kinds from shellfish such as the shell of oyster or the shell of a scallop, calcified coral, and dolomite as a base material containing one or some of alkaline earth metals, crushing the selected shellfish, calcified coral, or dolomite so as to make fine powder, perfectly generating an oxygen-free condition in a nitrogen stream, raising a temperature while making hydrogen gradually flow in as the stream, performing adjustment so as to make the ratio of nitrogen to hydrogen be 8:2 to 6:4, and raising the temperature up to 600-800C so as to perform reduction firing.
