PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink set without forming color bleed even not only on an ordinary paper but also on a coated paper for printing, coated only with an inorganic pigment and having inferior water absorptivity, excellent also in drying property, ejection stability and preservation property, capable of forming an excellent image, i.e., capable of forming an excellent printed matter without having the cockling of the paper.;SOLUTION: This ink set containing at least water, a non-water soluble coloring matter, a water soluble organic solvent and a surfactant is provided with that the ink set consists of at least black ink, and each of color inks of cyan, magenta and yellow, (1) for the black ink and at least one kind of the color inks among the color inks other than the black ink, a different water soluble organic solvent is used and (2) the surface tension of the water soluble organic solvent used only for the color inks other than the black ink is higher than that of the water soluble organic solvent used in the black ink.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
