PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device or the like for a liquid type internal combustion locomotive capable of efficiently performing switching works between transferring traveling and self-propelling traveling.;SOLUTION: After the transferring traveling, when a second clutch mechanism 45 is connected, an auxiliary engagement device 29 is operated at the same time when the second clutch mechanism 45 is operated.
