PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent having support part segments connected to one another and retained in the connected state while the segments are delivered and till being developed and stably placed in a blood vessel or another body passageway. PSOLUTION: The intraluminal medical instruments have segments assembledly superposed, connected to one another, axially adjoined and, when being delivered to a treatment object site, retaining their mutually connected state. While delivering a stent to the site to be treated, a projecting part retains a state connected to a corresponding socket part and can retain the engaged state after the delivery, or can be detached from the corresponding socket part after completely developing the stent. The ratio L/D of the extended length of the stent segment to the extended diameter of the segment is preferably larger than 1, which improves the delivery of the stent and maximize the fatigue resistance of the structure.
