PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine the trajectory (flow line) of movement of a pedestrian.;SOLUTION: This pedestrian flow line observation device comprises an environmental database holding information about the walk environment including passages and intersections between the passages; a movement history database storing data sequentially acquired from an observation unit that is carried by the pedestrian walking in the walk environment and continuously observes the pedestrian's position coordinate and pedestrian's direction; and a position correcting means for setting one of walk mode 0 in which the pedestrian is estimated to be walking on the passage, walk mode 1 in which the pedestrian is estimated to be walking out of the passage, and walk mode 2 in which the pedestrian returns from the outside of the passage into the inside thereof, and correcting the position coordinate of the pedestrian included in the movement history database.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
