PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To induce two photon excitation of an organic photochromic compound in a scale equal to or less than a diffraction limit.;SOLUTION: Magnetism of a material of which the magnetism is efficiently changed by light absorption can be changed by producing light-induced phase transition with two photon excitation of light with a wavelength which is not absorbed or scarcely absorbed by the material. That is, this invention is a method for manufacturing a light-induced phase transition material, which includes making a material, which undergoes phase transition with light absorption and changes its magnetism between diamagnetism and paramagnetism or ferromagnetism, conduct a two photon absorption of the light with the wavelength which is not absorbed or scarcely absorbed by the material, and the material which is manufactured with the manufacturing method and of which the magnetism is changed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
