DISASTER PREVENTION/DISASTER RECOVERY SUPPORT SYSTEM USING GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION SYSTEM

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system that can support the planning of measures to minimize estimated damage before a disaster occurs and can support planning for supporting efficient recovery of a disaster area after a disaster occurs. PSOLUTION: The system comprises an information input means, an information display means, a GIS engine, an information storage means for storing topographic map information, level information, road network information, facility attribute information and disaster history information all about a managed region, and a control means for coordinating them. According to inundation depth information input from the information input means, the GIS engine creates an inundation depth layer associating the inundation depth information with the topographic map information.
