PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a larval fish recovery/river return apparatus attaining high recovery and returning alive to a river by utilizing the evading reaction of larval fish from a mesh part without using a larval fish guide means and a fish collecting vessel or the like by light.;SOLUTION: The larval fish recovery/river return apparatus is constituted for returning larval fish entering an inlet channel 2 of the river 1, to the river without damaging the larval fish. In this case, buckets 10 moving upward on the water surface from the underwater at a constant angle with relative speed difference to the flow of running water in the inlet channel are provided, and the bucket comprises the mesh part 11 allowing water to pass through, and a fish collecting part 16 storing larval fish and water in a position behind the mesh part. Fish can be collected utilizing the evading reaction of larval fish from the mesh part and minuteness of mesh projection dimensions due to the inclination of the mesh part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
