PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely and inexpensively protect an operator from danger to the utmost particularly during a critical printing process, that is, a printing process dangerous to the operator, especially in a region on the attachment side of a roll changer by providing a roll changer, which is provided with a protection device to fragments of a roll sleeve, for a printer.;SOLUTION: The roll changer is provided with the protection device for intercepting fragments when the roll sleeve (6) bursts.
