PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a word alignment method for performing highly accurate alignment of words with a high recall rate. PSOLUTION: The word alignment method for aligning words of an example sentence in first language and a translation in second language being the parallel translation of the example sentence in first language includes a first step for extracting at least respective words from the example sentence and the translation; a second step for calculating the value of at least one of similarity and correlation between the words in the first language and the second language, and for calculating the alignment of the words in the first language and the second language based on the calculated value; and a third step for optimizing the alignment by bipartite graph matching.
